Satanic 'black mass' at Harvard short-circuited

60,000 signed petition against it

The Harvard Extension Cultural Studies Club joined forces with a Satanic Temple in New York to plan the event, originally designed to be a take-off on a Catholic Mass.

They told the Harvard Crimson the decision to move the ceremony didn't come from the school. Instead, they blame "misinterpretations about the nature of the event."

A plan to move the event off campus fell apart when a location couldn’t be secured.

Dressed in everything from “hoods, white suits, a cape, and a horned mask," they caame to be part of a “black mass.”

That didn’t stop 50 enthusiastic people form showing up near a Chinese restaurant just the same.

The Boston Globe reports 1,500 people marched to a nearby Catholic church at the same time to proclaim their faith.

That’s not all nearly 60,000 people with a connection to the school signed a petition saying they opposed the event.
