Sapulpa police chase motorcycle rider to Tulsa, crash on Riverside Parkway

Tulsa, Okla. — Sapulpa police become involved in the high-speed chase of a motorcycle rider. The chase started around 12 a.m. Thursday near the Creek Turnpike and New Sapulpa Road. Police tell us an attempt was made to stop the motorcyclist after the officer observed the rider commit several traffic violations. The officer stopped the pursuit when he lost sight of the rider's tail lights. Tulsa police and firefighters responded when a 911 caller reported that a motorcycle had crashed near the Creek Turnpike and Riverside Parkway. Officers determined that it was the same motorcycle. The rider's helmet was located near the scene. A witness reported sighting an individual that matched the description of the rider, but no one was arrested.
