Rose petals lead officers to suspect

Tue, June 17, 2017 — Deputies used an unusual way to track down a criminal recently in Yukon.

Canadian County Sheriff's Office reports they simply followed a trail of rose petals to a bathtub, where they found a man accused of trying to kill two of his relatives.

53-year-old Stacey Durrett allegedly tried to burn his cousins alive inside of a trailer.  However, his plan didn’t work and they escaped.

Durrett was booked into the Canadian County Jail.

As for the rose pedals...they were meant to "spice up the atmosphere"  for a prostitute Durrett had hired.
