TULSA, Okla. — On this date in 2007, Green Country experienced a bitter ice storm.

Freezing rain dropped across our area for 36 hours. Roads, powerlines, and trees were covered with thick ice.

Around 200,000 homes were without power for several days.

The ice finally began to thaw after Tulsans endured freezing temperatures for several days.
