Rain chances good for Wednesday night, Thursday morning

NWS: Tulsa still seven and one-half inches below normal on rainfall for year

A storm system that is forecast to move into the Tulsa area on Wednesday night into Thursday morning should bring rain to the area.

We're told that there is a cold front that will move into the area Monday night, but the best chance for rain will come mid-week.

National Weather Service meteorologist Robert Darby says, "Tulsa area could receive one, possibly two inches (of rain) with higher amounts south of I-40 across southeast Oklahoma."

We're told Tulsa is still seven and a half inches below normal on rainfall for the year before the rain puts a dent in the drought.
