Problems plague the U.S. Navy's new destroyer

Ten years after construction began, the U.S. Navy's new Zumwalt class destroyers are still not ready to go.

The website TheFiscalTimes.com says the high-tech stealth warship has been inundated with problems, from losing power at sea to needing specially designed ammunition that was so expensive, the Navy decided not to use it.

The new target date for deployment is sometime next year, which would make it 6 years behind schedule.

Now they plan to have only three.

The Navy originally planned to have 32 Zumwalt destroyers.
