Pregnant woman gets medical attention for smoke inhalation sustained during Tulsa condo fire

Six people displaced out of two condos damaged by fire

Tulsa firefighters knocked down a fire that started at a condominium at 6118 South Lakewood Avenue at about 12:36 a.m. Wednesday.

Firemen arrived at the scene within three minutes of the call.

Tulsa District Fire Chief Ronnie Cole tells us that putting out the fire consumed a lot of time because of the way the buil;ding was constructed. "We had a lot of hidden spaces and fire gutted these hidden spaces and it took quite a bit of extra time to get it all completely extinguished because we had to actually go look for (the fire,)" Cole said.

"Also, one person was transported to the hospital , a lady that was with child breathed some smoke and there was a little bit of concern and they transported her, but I think everything's going to be fine there."

One woman needed medical attention after breathing smoke from the fire.

A total of six people were displaced out of two condos that were damaged by the fire.

Cole estimates that the fire caused about $125,000 in damages.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
