Postman jailed for hiding over 44,000 pieces of mail

Guy rented a storage facility to be lazy

"I think he was lazy," police captain Craig Patterson said.

“I think he wanted to speed up his route.” That might be an understatement.

Adding creepy to the poor work ethic, William Morse stashed most of the mail in his dead mother’s home.

Kentucky Chief U.S. District Judge Joseph McKinley Jr. hit Morse with a sentence of six months in jail, and six months of home incarceration for “destroying, hiding and delaying the delivery of U.S. mail.”

When that wasn’t big enough, he rented a storage facility for the overflow. Morse SPENT MONEY, to be lazy. That has to be a new way to go about it.

The Courier-Journal reports the foul federal employee was also ordered to shell out $15,000 in restitution to people who had their mail delayed or destroyed.
