Possible escape attempt foiled at Rogers County Jail

A maintenance man may have foiled an escape attempt at the Rogers County Jail.

Deputies accuse Michael McNickle and Jerome Shavers of knocking over a vent on the roof of the jail in attempt to escape at some point.

The maintenance worker alerted deputies to the problem on Wednesday.  Deputies say the vent had been kicked out from inside the jail.

Both suspects could now face counts of attempting to escape.

Investigators traced prints found by the scene back to the inmates shoes.
