Neighbors called cops, convinced the sounds came from a woman in trouble.
They were wrong.
"We may have found the culprit," a tweet from the Filton police department said. The "victim" was not in distress, but continued to wail as goats sometimes do.
Estimates say the goat episode cost the department more than $1,200 in fuel.
Animal experts admit goats can sound incredibly like humans, especially when they really cut loose. Officers found the goat with a thermal imaging camera before reassuring everyone things were fine.
