Police: Babysitter too drunk to stand, much less drive

A Jenks police report indicates a Broken Arrow woman who had children in her car was so intoxicated she couldn't stand for any length of time.

Kendra Muilenburg, 25, was involved in a one-vehicle wreck near E. 106th St. and S. Elwood Ave. in Jenks Monday afternoon about 3:15.

When Cpl. Melissa Brown of Jenks P.D. arrived on the scene, she writes in an arrest and booking report, "I spoke with the officer on scene, Cpl. Brian Crain, who stated the driver was unable to stand without assistance and was showing signs of being extremely intoxicated."

Muilenburg, Brown says, blew a .25, which is more than three times the legal limit.

Cpl. Brown administered a field sobriety test, which Muilenburg failed miserably, then took her to headquarters where a Intoxilyzer 8000 was used to determine Muilenburg's blood alcohol content.

Muilenburg had two children in the car with her when she wrecked,  her own three-year-old and a two-year-old she was babysitting.

She told officers she was en route to pick up a third child from an area Pre-K school at the time of the crash.

She was booked into jail on complaints of aggravated DUI and child endangerment, with bonds totaling $40,000.
