People now have to get a job to get food stamps in OK

Starting today, people will have to get at least a part-time job, before they can get their food stamps in Oklahoma.

Work requirements have been reinstated for able-bodied adults without dependents in Oklahoma.

They must work at least 20 hours per week to get food stamps.

But that waiver expired Monday.

The federal government gave people a waiver during the recession, when jobs were hard to find.
