Pedicabs offer low-cost, low-hassle transportation in Tulsa

Driving in circles to find parking, then hiking several blocks or more to get to an event, is something of a Tulsa tradition.

Oktoberfest, the Tulsa State Fair, events at the BOK Center or a Drillers game -- they all pose a challenge for those who don't want to arrive very, very early to grab a good parking spot.

Tulsa Pedicabs offers an alternative.

Tulsa Pedicabs owner Joe Henretty tells KRMG they're available most weekends in the downtown area, weather permitting, as well as several other events throughout the year, like Oktoberfest and the Tulsa State Fair.

A phone call or email will reserve you a ride in a Pedicab, something of a cross between a rickshaw and a bicycle.

The drivers work for tips, there's no fare.

For those interested in a more intense pedicab experience, there are tours of the downtown or the Riverside areas available for a fee.

They also offer a restaurant crawl, where they take you to six downtown restaurants where you can sample the various menus and enjoy a full evening at a reasonable rate.
