Part of Hwy. 412 shut down, semi dumps load of fertilizer

It happened late Monday morning on the northwest corner of the IDL

A truck carrying a load of fertilizer crashed on the northwest corner of the Inner Dispersal Loop in downtown Tulsa late Monday morning, creating quite a mess.

The truck ended up wedged against the guardrail on the outside westbound lane of Highway 412/64. Westbound 412 is now closed at the I-244 split near downtown.

A Tulsa Fire Department Hazmat team was called to the scene, but KRMG is told the substance is not dangerous.

OHP tells KRMG It may be a few hours before they have the highway full open.

Rain, however, is making the mess more difficult to clean.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area if possible.

No one was reported to be seriously injured in the wreck.
