The sailor is a 28 year old and identified only as M.J. She was taking a bus to a mall in Dubai during a shore leave when things got out of hand.
She told the court once on the bus she noticed the driver taking secluded roads but when she asked about it he told her not worry.
But when driver stopped the bus he jumped toward the woman and tried to touch her. She resisted but he drew a knife and ripped off her clothes. The man also bit her several times.
M.J. said he tried to grab her breasts, and when he did she knocked the knife to the ground, bit his hand and took him to the floor.
Then he made his biggest mistake.
Then she put the driver in a hold using her legs and held him there.
Once she subdued the man she was able to get away and return to her ship where she told her captain about the incident.
The driver was reported to be drunk when he was arrested the next day at his home.
Charges against the driver include attempted rape, threatening to kill, assault and consuming alcohol illegally.
