Owasso taking steps to fight Opioid Crisis

OWASSO, Okla. — City Council members voted this week to unanimously approve a resolution allowing the city to file lawsuits against opioid manufacturers.

A lawsuit is in the works and if the city wins, or gets a settlement, that money would go towards prevention and treatment of opioid addiction.

The City of Owasso joined 14 cities statewide in committing to the litigation process , including Broken Arrow, Oklahoma City, Edmond, Yukon and Midwest City.
