Owasso High School spends part of Friday morning on lockdown

Student reports overhearing conversation about possible bomb threat

Parents of students in the Owasso schools got a text about a precautionary lockdown at the high school this morning.

Police say a student overheard a conversation this morning that seemed to be about a bomb threat.

The student reported what he or she heard to a school resource officer who relayed the information to police.

Nothing suspicious was found and classes are now back to normal.

Owasso police spokesman Nick Boatman says, "The school was on lockdown for an hour and a half while police investigated."
