One dead in east Tulsa stabbing

Suspect fled scene, but later return and was arrested

Tulsa police told KRMG a 19-year-old man died after he was stabbed multiple times in east Tulsa.

Officers on the scene said there was a gathering of some sort near 41st and Garnett Sunday night, but things turned violent when an argument between two men started.

The suspect, also 19 years old, was apparently approaching the party just before 9:30 p.m. when he was confronted down the street. The suspect then stabbed the victim multiple times in the upper torso, according to police.

The suspect initially fled the scene, but later returned and was arrested.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Police haven’t released any names and say they will be gathering witness accounts as well as cell phone video of the incident.
