Okmulgee Police ask for public’s help in identifying bandits

Group of three believed to be responsible for string of robberies

Okmulgee Police Chief Joe Prentice says he believes the same group is responsible for robbing the Beeline Liquor Store in Omulgee, three liquor stores in Tulsa and two other businesses in two other cities.

Two thieves have their faces covered in a surveillance video, but one thief does not.

Police are hoping someone recognizes him, and that surveillance from two locations helps locate the suspects.

Prentice said the thieves stole money from all locations.

“Based on the video I’ve seen at those two, it’s the same crew that’s hit all the stores,” Prentice said. “All three in Tulsa, the one in Glenpool, the store in Preston and ours in Okmulgee.”

Police believe the getaway car is a late 90s Nissan Maxima.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Okmulgee Police Department.
