Oklahomans have 47th highest energy costs

Study looks at everything from electricity to gasoline

Oklahoma is known for being an energy-producing state, but apparently, we USE a lot too.

WalletHub.com says we rank 47th on the list of states with the lowest and highest energy costs (number 1 being the lowest), mainly due to consumption.

We use a lot of electricity per consumer, ranking 46th, not surprising when the air-conditioners get cranking during the hot Oklahoma summers.

One possible surprise, Oklahoma drivers consume the most gallons of fuel per driver of any state.

Lucky for us, we have the 8th cheapest electricity, or we'd rank even worse on how much we spend on it per year.

Again, we're fortunate that fuel is relatively cheap in Oklahoma.
