Oklahoma drivers to pay more on turnpikes

Get ready to shell out a little extra coin at the tollbooth.

Starting in January, drivers will now have to pay between 5 and 10 cents more. This comes after the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority voted on Tuesday to increase the tolls of some routes by 2 percent.

This won't be the only increase drivers will be seeing over the next couple of years. In 2019, rates are set to rise another 2.5 percent.

Do you believe the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority is justified in instituting their increases?  Let us know in the comments.
