Oklahoma airman arrested for telling witnesses he has explosives

An Altus airman is charged after being accused of telling witnesses he had explosives and could use them.

Court records show Timothy Carey faces a count of possession of bomb-making materials with intent to either intimidate or harm another person or to damage property.

Carey works out of the Altus Air Force Base in southwestern Oklahoma.  Police say they started investigating Carey, after the people he told about the explosives came forward.

Officers never found any bombs in his possession.
