Okla. Rep. invites gun maker to Oklahoma after NY weapons ban

The so-called assault weapons ban in New York has one Oklahoma lawmaker thinking ahead.

Republican State Representative Dan Kirby of Tulsa has asked New-York based gun manufacturer Remington to consider relocating to Oklahoma.

Kirby sent a letter to Remington letting them know that Oklahoma offers a lot of incentives such as the Quality Jobs Act and a five-year property tax exemption for manufacturers.

Kirby says he got the idea after hearing reports of the so-called assault rifle ban in New York state.
