TULSA, Okla. —
Crews are working to contain and remove an oil spill from the weekend at Tulsa's Keystone Lake.
Close to 5,000 gallons of oil spilled down a rocky embankment and into the lake on Saturday after a tanker truck overturned after a collision.
The Tulsa World reports (http://is.gd/tYJtuy ) that the Army Corps of Engineers says the sheen on the water is estimated to be about 15 by 1,000 feet.
A company that is working to capture the oil said the rocky area will have to be cleaned and the oil recovered. The oil could be flushed from the rocks on the shore.
The truck's driver, 45-year-old Troy Royster of Shawnee suffered serious injuries. He was pinned in the wrecked truck for about an hour.
The lake doesn't supply drinking water.
