Officers search for prescription drug robbers

It's becoming more common in the area.  Suspects are robbing stores and are asking for prescription pills, instead of money.

On Saturday, another Walgreens pharmacy was robbed.

This time, two suspects hit the location near 51st and Sheridan around 10:30 p.m.

Police say the suspects implied they had weapons and demanded pills.  They were given undisclosed drugs and they  took off on foot.

It's believed they had a getaway car nearby, because a K-9 officer lost their scent quickly.

Police didn't release a description of the suspects.

Anybody with information about the robbery or the suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
