Officer gives back to area school with part-time job money

Fri, Aug 18, 2017 — For the last 20 years, students at Hoover Elementary School in Tulsa have been receiving school supplies from a guardian angel.

It turns out, Tulsa Police Captain Cathy Reynolds is both an alum of the school and has been quietly giving back.  Reynolds tells us she works a part-time job and collects items all year long, so can can help out.

She doesn’t want any recognition for her good deeds.

In fact, she was reluctant to do this story, but hopes people will be inspired to help other schools.

“I’m just the school angel and that’s just fine with me,” Reynolds said.

For reference, her goal is  to keep kids from going without or being embarrassed about not having supplies.
