OETA using daytime TV for in-home learning

TULSA, Okla. — The Oklahoma Educational Television Authority (OETA) is going to offer in-home learning opportunities for students now stuck at home thanks to the coronavirus pandemic.

OETA and the State Department of Education teamed up so they could “bring parents, students and teachers together with content and curriculum to meet educational needs while schools are closed due to coronavirus.”

The content will air Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. until the end of the school year.

Beginning next Monday, OETA will be adjusting its daytime schedule to provide “curriculum-based programming” for students on it’s broadcasting network dubbed “OETA WORLD.”

Programs will include PBS favorites like NOVA, Nature, American Experience and PBS KIDS programming.
