New drone green friendly, easy to store

A new drone has been developed in Oklahoma that is eco-friendly.

The drone was developed by Design Intelligence Incorporated, based out of Norman.

DII says the new drone weighs less than 10 pounds and is operated in good weather conditions.  The company calls the drone ETURNAS UAV.

The drone uses flexible, advanced solar cell technology.  This allows the ETURNAS UAV to be flexible and can be quickly assembled or disassembled.

"The state of Oklahoma is a national leader in the advancement of UAV technology with a growing infrastructure that includes public/private partnerships, strong R&D programs at state universities and leading test and evaluation facilities," Governor Mary Fallin says.  "The great work of Design Intelligence Incorporated is the latest evidence that Oklahoma is the go-to place for the growing UAV industry."

DII says the drone can be transported by a single person.
