No new disease cases in latest update on Tulsa oral surgeon

For the first time in weeks, the latest update from the Tulsa Health Department shows no new cases of disease were found.

After almost four months of testing, the health department says testing of former patients of Dr. Scott Harrington will end on June 28.

Since March, nearly 4,000 patients of Harrington’s Tulsa and Owasso clinics have been tested for Hepatitis B, C and HIV.

Patients of Harrington that tested negative, but visited his office from September 20, 2012 to March 20, 2013 are urged to get another test after six months from their last visit.

Of those tested, 73 people have tested positive for hepatitis C, five for hepatitis B and three for HIV.
