Thu, March 23, 2017 — Some neighbors living near 21st and Lewis believe the ongoing construction in the area is responsible for more car wrecks.
Since December of last year, there have more than a dozen crashes around that intersection. In fact, two wrecks happened on Tuesday.
One resident we spoke to says the traffic if ongoing and so are the wrecks.
To get around the mess, some drivers are using neighborhood streets. Neighbors are worried it’s just a matter of time before someone gets hurt by a vehicle going too fast through their neighborhood.
“Currently, traffic from the construction happens all day,” the resident said.
Tulsa police say they are monitoring the area.
