The explanation made it sound like it could happen to anyone.
Kevin Hughes told cops he “woke up naked in his truck,” and decided to head-on into the store.
WSOC-TV reports an employee saw Hughes strolling through the health and beauty section wearing only his shoes.
He explained, “I’ve had a problem with drugs in the past. I still like to do Ecstasy once in a while.”
When cops arrived at the Tega Cay, South Carolina Walmart, they removed him from the store, took him to jail, and gave him a nice jumpsuit to wear.
Hughes told the TV station, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. It was an accident. It wasn't something I intended to do."
He then blamed the entire scene on a mistake. "I accidentally got methamphetamine instead, and it really made me crazy."
Hughes was charged with disorderly conduct before bonding out.
