Motorcycle crash near airport injures riders

TPD: Speed, inattention possible factors

Two people who were riding a motorcycle are hospitalized after slamming into another vehicle.

Tulsa Police Sergeant Steve Stoltz tells us the accident happened about 9 p.m. Thursday near the American Airlines complex at 4100 North Mingo Road.

"Motorcycle then struck the rear of the SUV ejecting both of its occupants which was a male and a female passenger," Stoltz said.

We're told that the cause of the crash may have been the speed of the motorcycle and inattention by both drivers.

The two occupants of the SUV were not seriously injured and were not transported to a hospital.
