After a glitch in Microsoft’s web browser was released today after concerns reached Homeland Security.
The flaw within Internet Explorer had Homeland Security and IT guys everywhere worried about hackers. The flaw would’ve allowed malware to be installed which means hackers have full access to your machine.
The update should install automatically on most machines, but only if you have automatic updates enabled. To make sure you get the update, go to Control Panel and check System and Security for updates.
They made that decision because the glitch happened so close to the same date on which support for XP was stopped, April 8. Microsoft is still telling XP users to upgrade to Windows 7 or 8.1.
In a surprising move, Microsoft included Windows XP in the update even though the company technically doesn’t support it anymore.
