Masked man fires gunshot during home invasion, robbery

Tulsa, Okla. — A gunshot is fired during an armed robbery at a house on a dead-end street.

A woman had opened her door to check the mailbox when she found a tall, black male outside.

She told investigators that he was wearing a mask and holding a handgun.

That's when he fired the gun, but nobody was hit.

Tulsa police tell me the man forced his way inside the house and wanted money.

“I don’t know why he targeted that house specifically,” TPD Sergeant August Terbrock said.

The robbery took place around 12:45 a.m. Monday, near 2500 East 48 Street North.

“The suspect was apparently scared off when he realized the victim was not home alone.”
