Man threatens to detonate bomb during bank robbery

It wasn't your typical bank robbery Saturday afternoon.

We've learned a man walked into an Owasso IBC Bank, and handed an employee a note reading a bomb in the building would be detonated, if he wasn't given cash.

Police say the suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled the bank near 96th Street North and Garnett.

Officers describe the suspect as a white male, with dark facial hair, and a stocky build.  He was said to be wearing sunglasses, a hat, and a blue or gray long-sleeve shirt.

The bank was then evacuated and a bomb-sniffing dog was brought to the scene.  No explosive device was ever found.

The FBI and Owasso police are investigating the robbery.
