Man shot multiple times in south Tulsa

Drug deal gone wrong led to shots fired

Tulsa Police were called to the scene near 61st and Peoria Tuesday afternoon after one man was shot and stabbed multiple times.

Officers tell KRMG it started when two men showed up in the area to make a drug deal. Once the deal was done, they discovered the buyer had sold them fake drugs.

They returned to the area to confront the dealer and that’s when a fight started. One of the buyers was stabbed multiple times at this point.

The man who had been stabbed then got into a van and drove toward the construction worker. To defend himself, the construction worker fired multiple shots hitting the driver multiple times.

A nearby construction worker noticed the fight going on and yelled at the men trying to get them to stop fighting. When they didn’t stop, the construction worker pulled a gun (he has a concealed carry license) and again told them to stop.

The seller took off on foot, the man who was shot and stabbed was taken to the hospital and the other buyer was taken into custody.

The man who was shot and stabbed is expected to live.
