Man saves girlfriend with a pellet gun

We've learned a Tulsa man saved his girlfriend late Saturday night from a robbery suspect, with a pellet gun.

Police say they received the call around 11:15 p.m., from a house near Admiral and Memorial.

The victim had arrived home and was confronted by an unidentified man.  He then tried to grab her purse.

She struggled with the suspect and also screamed.

Police say her boyfriend was inside the home and heard his girlfriend's screams.

He grabbed his pellet gun and rushed outside.  The boyfriend then fired four or five shots at the suspect.

Officers don't believe the suspect was hit, but the shots did scare him away.

No word on if the suspect was armed and officers don't have a description of the man.

The woman wasn't hurt.

Anybody with information about the attempted robbery or the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
