Man pronounced dead revived after 45 minutes without heartbeat

Doctors say it's a medical first

When Tony Yahle’s heart stopped doctors and nurses pulled out every stop in trying to save him.

For 45 minutes they worked but eventually they gave up and pronounced him dead.

Tony’s son Lawrence was outside his hospital room watching and couldn’t bring himself to believe what he was seeing.

But as nurses began to prepare Tony’s body so his family could come and visit, things suddenly changed.

“I pointed at him and I said Dad, you’re not gonna die today” Lawrence explained.

“My pastor yelled Lawrence, Lawrence, your Dad has a heartbeat.”  Doctors began working again and five days later Tony was awake and fine.

“Everybody starting telling me how it happened and I started to understand a miracle happened.” Tony said from his home.

Doctors say they have no idea how he survived but Tony doesn’t hesitate to say his situation was managed from above.

"It definitely strengthen my faith, my family's faith, everybody I know's faith," Yahle commented. "If it strengthens everybody's faith, then I'll take the lumps for it."
