Man killed, set on fire, accused killer takes the victims dog for a walk

Police charge one with murder

Cops and firefighters initially responded to the call of a fire in an alley around 2:00 a.m. Friday morning. On fire was the body of 54-year-old Nathanial Quarterman.

An investigation by Baltimore police discovered Quarterman had been in a fight earlier that day with Lawrence Coverdale.

The Baltimore Sun's Justin Fenton tweeted part of a police report that said,"Lawrence "Lawrence Coverdale went back into the victim's bedroom and closed the door.

Cops have charged Coverdale with murder after declaring Quarterman’s cause of as “homicide by blunt force trauma.”

While Lawrence Coverdale was in the bedroom, the witness made several attempts to contact police, but was ultimately unsuccessful. After several minutes, Lawrence Coverdale exited the bedroom and proceeded to take the victim’s dog for a walk.”
