Man has no remorse for fatally shooting woman's dog

Wed, Sept 20, 2017 — A Muskogee woman was walking home with her Jack Russell/Chihuahua Mix “Cowgirl” recently, when her neighbor grabbed his gun and fatally shot the dog.

Betty Potts tells us her pet was causing no harm, but Alan Murphy insists his actions were justified.

“What else do you want me to do?” Murphy asked.  “They (her) kept trying to bite my kids and I’m not going to have it.”

Murphy has been charged with animal cruelty.  However, he’s not sorry for shooting the dog.

Potts and multiple neighbors told investigators “Cowgirl” didn’t try to bite Murphy’s kids.

“If any of my dogs tried to bite anybody, I would shoot them myself,” Murphy insisted.
