Lingerie Night ends after man tries to kidnap bartender

Neighbors say the bar is a sore spot

Lingerie Night was very popular, at the Eager Beaver Bar.

However, after Dennis Mitchell tried to throw a bag over the head of a bartender and abduct her, the tradition will end.

Neighbors came running when they heard the woman scream, causing Mitchell to release the woman and flee.

Monday, Mitchell told a judge he went to Lingerie Night at the bar every week to try and “unwind” after work.

He was arrested a short time later.

As of now, no one will have that chance again.

"We are no longer having Lingerie Night, and that's really all there is to say about it," Eager Beaver owner Christina Coon told Postcrescent.com.

Post-Crescent Media reports cops have made calls to the bar 69 times since 2011.
