Leukemia and Lymphoma Society raises money while honoring victims and survivors

The Tulsa chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is inviting everyone to join them for their annual Light the Night Walk.

This year's event is being held at the Oklahoma Aquarium in Jenks.

The program begins around 6:30 Saturday and the walk begins just after sundown.

The colors are red, carried by supporters, white carried by survivors, and gold carried to honor a life lost. The lanterns literally Light The Night to honor those who have fought or are fighting blood cancer as well as those that support them.

Walkers carry lighted lanterns of three different colors on the route.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society was created to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
