KRMG uncovers prior arrest for Tulsa's so-called 'dirty dentist'

Harrington convicted, completed probation

KRMG has learned that Tulsa oral surgeon Dr. Scott Harrington has previously had a run-in with the law.

Court records show that Harrington was arrested November 2, 2001 by the Dallas Police Department for DWI.

He was released from jail the next day.

The Tulsa Health Department, the Oklahoma State Department of Health and the Oklahoma State Board of Dentistry are investigating Harrington after learning that one of his patients may have contracted Hepatitis C during a visit to the dentist.

Harrington was convicted and successfully completed his probation.

Health officials believe Harrington could possible have infected thousands of patients with dirty instruments.
