A convicted killer and rapist offered no apologies for his crimes in his final statement before Missouri officials put him to death by lethal injection early Wednesday morning.
Michael Worthington is the first U.S. prisoner executed since a lethal injection in Arizona last month in which an inmate took nearly two hours to die.
The Missouri Department of Corrections says Worthington was pronounced dead 10 minutes after the process began.
