Jury selection begins Monday in the case of a man accused of gunning down a young couple in an east Tulsa park.
Darren Price, 21, faces two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of robbery with a firearm, and one count each of possession of a firearm after a felony conviction and eluding police.
Prosecutors say he executed Carissa Horton, 18, and Ethan Nichols, 21, in Tulsa's Hicks Park in September, 2011.
Horton was a student at Oral Roberts University, Nichols an employee of Blue Bell Creamery in Broken Arrow.
The park is in east Tulsa near E. 31st Street and South Mingo Road.
Jerard Davis, 23, pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree murder in a deal with the DA to avoid the death penalty.
Prosecutors say they intend to pursue the death penalty against Price.
Price and Davis reportedly each told police the other man had pulled the trigger on the victims.
