Jury returns first round of verdicts for woman accused of killing Tulsa teacher

Jury returns first round of verdits, deliberates on another charge

The jury found Marquitta Littlebear guilty of child endangerment, leaving the scene of a fatal accident, leaving the scene of a collision with injuries and driving with a suspended license. The jury recommended a sentence of 16 years and fines of $16,500.

The jury is now deliberating a second degree felony murder charge against Littlebear. That charge is being deliberated separately because it is based on a prior DWI conviction.

Prosecutors allege Littlebear hit and killed Susan Mamary, a 3rd grade teacher at Marquette Catholic School, in Feb. 2012.
