Human remains discovered in Broken Arrow

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Tulsa County Deputies are investigating after human remains were found in a Broken Arrow creek near 131st st and County Line Road.

The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office says the remains were discovered by a passing resident around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the creek behind their house.

We’re told the body was in dense shrub along the creek behind the property.

Deputies believe the remains had been there for a long period of time.

Deputies say the body parts are too badly decomposed to identify whoever the person is, or the gender, age or race.

The state medical examiner’s office hopes a DNA test can determine who the remains belong to and whether any foul play was involved.

Broken Arrow Police say they’ve have several missing person’s cases the remains could be connected to, but until they know the ID, they can’t move forward.
