A gas line rupture near 193rd street has closed the road between 41st street and 51st street in east Tulsa.
“We’ve got the street blocked for public safety because we still have 40 psi of natural gas blowing up in the air,” Tulsa firefighters told KRMG news.
Tulsa police are also on the scene as Oklahoma Natural Gas workers try to shut off the gas and repair the line.
Several neighborhoods are affected but TFD says homeowners will be allowed into and out of the area.
Until then drivers should "not expect to come up 193rd to the north all the way from 51st street to 41st street.
