BA cops expect more than 30,000 people for the 16th "Night out Against Crime with Fun and Games on Main."

The free event will occupy Main street from Denver to Detroit from 6:00-8:00 PM October 29th. Lisa Ford with BAPD told KRMG news the evening will feature "free hot dogs, cotton candy, and of course, lots of candy."

Ford told us "our objectives are to:"

* Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police community partnerships

* Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back against crime

* Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts

A release from BAPD explains,
