Home invaders use unusual technique to enter apartment

A Tulsa man opens his apartment door near 25th and Maybelle, and two men push their way inside and steal his money.

Officers received the call for the home invasion around 12:20 a.m.

Police say this home invasion was unusual because the suspects used the knock-and-run technique.  Meaning, the suspects would knock on his door and then run away.

Neither the victim or his unknown-aged child were hurt by the suspects.

The victim was getting so frustrated, he was going to put a note on his door telling the pranksters to stop.  Police say before he could write that note, the suspects knocked once more, and this time they forced their way into the home.

The child may have suffered some injuries from the apartment's security guard, however.  Police say the child ran out of the apartment and the security guard thought he might be one of the suspects, so he tackled him.

Both suspects were able to get away.
